Entering the Print Industry: Helpful Hints for New Grads

Posted by on July 03, 2014 under Human Resources

Hey graduates! Are you single and ready to mingle? The print industry wants you, and, if you were smart and learned more about this $640 billion sugar daddy of an industry, you’d want print too.

Our advice to you: go for it. Here are some helpful hints to guide you through your journey into the world of print:

(1) Consider becoming involved in a leadership development program. Not only do you get an opportunity to pick the brains of industry experts, you get hands-on experience. (2) Ask questions. Soak up knowledge like a sponge. When you see something that isn’t working or that you don’t understand, look into it. (3) Take the initiative. If you know of a way to improve a process, do it. (4) Be the technology guy or gal. Print ends on paper, but the process is becoming more and more streamlined and digitized.
